Welcome to our country cottage

Find (or lose) yourself in Greyton

When you get the feeling it’s time to leave the city behind and head out somewhere tranquil and pretty, book into Little Oak and spend time in the magical town of Greyton. Little Oak is a cute and quaint, self-catering one-bedroom cottage in the heart of Greyton, perfect for couples looking for a romantic getaway or a solo visitor seeking peace or inspiration.

Pet friendly on request
Free Wi-Fi for work and streaming TV
Wi-Fi back-up battery
Fireplace inside, braai outside
Splash pool for summer
Amazing mountain views and starry night skies

Downstairs there’s a small, well-equipped kitchen, with a two-plate gas stove, air fryer, toaster, fridge, and all the crockery, cutlery, glasses, pots, pans and utensils you’ll need. Tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper and braai salt are provided to save you the hassle of packing the essentials. There’s even a juicer, so bring your carrots along, but save some for the horses you’re bound to see just outside the gate from time to time.

There’s a table and benches for mealtime, and a cosy lounge with a big fireplace, a couch and a huge FatSak. We do not provide firewood or blitz, but all the local shops sell fireplace and braai wood for your stay.

We have free wi-fi and a TV, as well as an HDMI cable to connect your laptop to the TV, but maybe you’d rather lose yourself in a puzzle or one of the books from our little library. We have a couple of LED lights and candles to keep you out of the dark.

Upstairs is the king bed, a Snooza mattress for one extra guest (preferably a kiddie) to sleep on,  a desk and chair, ample space to unpack your bags, as well as a small bath and a big shower, a hand basin, and a separate toilet. Linen and bath towels are provided.

The back garden is enclosed, with a lovely green lawn, a braai area, porch and a small pool (with a safety cover). Be aware there is also a small dam at the bottom of the garden.

Whatever time of year you visit, Little Oak has everything you need for a comfortable and cosy stay.

Fall in love with Greyton

Parking is off the street under a carport – which is where you may decide to leave the car for the time you are in Greyton as everything is a short walk away. You can cycle,  hike, swim, play bowls or croquet, go for a picnic at the Gobos River, watch the sunset on the top of the Zig Zags trail, enjoy a delicious restaurant meal at a number of local eateries, browse the Saturday market, chat to the locals, visit the animal sanctuary, go for a massage, shop for gifts, plants, books and antiques, or just curl up on the couch with a good book, a glass of wine and the crackle of the fireplace.
